1851 Treaty

GRAND MOTHER EARTH AND THE NAKOTA NATION

image of globe spinning

For millions of years, the N/DN/D/Lakota (Nakota Nation, misnomer "Sioux") Indigenous Red "Indian" Nation lived in harmony alongside their allied neighboring Indigenous northern plains nations. The heart of their territorial homelands includes the Big Horn Black Hills Mountains, He Sapa (Black Jagged-Rocky-Mountains, misnomer "Black Hills"), and the Sacred Red Stone Canunpa (misnomer "Pipestone") Regions. The White Buffalo Calf Woman brought the Sacred Canunpa and Seven Ceremonies to the Nakota. Through the spirituality created by the practice of these Seven Sacred Ceremonies, the Nakota peoples perfected balanced, female inclusive societies and "Circle Meetings of the People" called "Oyate Omniciye" within each of their communities.

1803 "Louisiana Purchase", Indigenous homelands west of the Mississippi River are "sold" to the u.s. by France. Indigenous nations rights are ignored making this so-called "purchase" illegal, null and void.

1847 Oyate Omniciye governing system is employed to forge treaty alliance among nations surrounding the Big Horn Mountain, He Sapa and Canunpa Regions. Runners sent between nations to secure unanimity for having legal rights "on paper" - the "way of the white man", insuring future rights.

1851 Seven nation 1851 TREATY OF FORT LARAMIE unanimously agreed upon and approved through international Oyate Omniciye with the U.S. Government. The 1851 TREATY allow a road across 1851 TREATY Territories but prevents gov't from straying off the road for any reason. The 1851 TREATY secures perpetual hunting, fishing, and gathering rights for the Seven 1851 TREATY NATIONS - the N/DN/D/Lakota, Crow, Hidatsa, Mandan, Arikara, Arapaho and Cheyenne. With their parents, Tasunke Witko and Tatanka Iyotake (Crazy Horse and Sitting Bull) attend the 1851 TREATY Signing Ceremonies on September 17, 1851. The Sacred White Buffalo Calf Canunpa (Nakota) and Four Sacred Arrows (Cheyenne) are present. This is the last time an ancient Oyate Omniciye is called between these nations. Today among the seven nations, excluding the Ihanktunwan DaNakota and Crow, Oyate Omniciye are dormant, due to immense oppression.

Article VI, U.S. Constitution, "Treaties made with Indian Nations shall be the supreme law of the land"

"It is understood that the aforesaid Indian nations do not hereby abandon or prejudice any rights or claims they may have to other lands: and further, that they do not surrender the privilege of hunting, fishing, or passing over any of the tracts of country heretofore described." Article 5, 1851 TREATY OF FORT LARAMIE.

1853 U.S. general Hearny, on a psychotic rampage, murders innocent Lakota. This marks the beginning of violations of the 1851 TREATY and Constitution by u.s. government officials.

"The United States bind themselves to protect the aforesaid Indian nations against the commission of all depredations (wrongs, plunder) by the peoples of the said United States." Article 3, 1851 TREATY

1866-1868 Tasunke Witko, National Defense chief, Lakota Nation and Tatanka Iyotake, Medicine Chief, maintain they would never "sign any Treaty" after 1851 and could not possibly without unanimous, female inclusive OYATE OMNICIYE "Circle Meeting of The People" authorization.

1858 & 1868 U.S. government steps up attack against OYATE OMNICIYE system which governed the seven 1851 TREATY Nations for millions of years.

1874 Brigadier general Custer sent into the Sacred He Sapa - Heart of the 1851 TREATY Territories to substantiate "gold rumors". This is the beginning of massive exploration, destruction, pollution, and rape of Grand Mother Earth in He Sapa, along with mass media propaganda against Indigenous nations and peoples by unscrupulous u.s. government officials and corporations searching for profits.

"Upon this earth that we walk on, no one can sell it." Tasunke Witko

1876 At Greasy Grass (Big Horn battle), General Custer's life is sacrificed by his military in order to sway any public sentiment away from TREATY/CONSTITUTION. support.

1877 Tasunke Witko assassinated by u.s. government. Tasunke Witko never had his image "captured" through "photography".

"I am satisfied with the 1851 TREATY for the Hunting Nations, if the government would keep it." Tatanka Iyotake

1889 Oyate Omniciye principle spokesperson, Tatanka Iyotake, and few remaining OYATE OMNICIYE advocates exposes and rejects secret government meeting with "hang-around-the-fort-chiefs" attempting to relinquish land holdings and move to created "reservations" through a concocted "1889 agreement".

Asked at the 'secret 1889 meeting', "What are you Lakota going to do?" Sitting Bull replied, "There are no Lakota's here but me - a Lakota would never sell their Grand Mother."

1890 Tatanka Iyotake assassinated by us. government agents, Dec. 15. This "paved the way" for the illegal establishment of a "state" called "South Dakota". Chief Big Foot's camp, great allies of Tatanka Iyotake, flee for their lives immediately following the brutal assassination, seeking protection behind the "friend-of-white-man" Red Cloud. Crossing over 1851 TREATY Territories - now "considered given away" by hang around chiefs during the "1889 agreement" - Big Food camp is labeled as "hostile" (yesterday's version of current "terrorist" label) by government and media. Big Foot's arrival is reported by Red Cloud agency. They are later captured by u.s. army south of Porcupine. They are totally strip searched of all weapons, tools and even sewing awls and forced to march of Wounded Knee Creek. At dawn on December 29th - exactly 14 days after the murder of Sitting Bull, Big foot and the people were forced from their lodges and lined up executions style. 453 old people, women, children, infants and unborn were then massacred by the u.s. government's army - called "Custer's reestablished 7th Calvary". Later, many "congressional medals of honor" were presented to the soldiers for the barbaric mass murder - medals as of yet to be decommissioned. "South Dakota" established.

1890 Industrial revolution begins. Mountain Woman Geyser in Yellowstone Park mysteriously stops blasting, said only to erupt again when the "woman is respected" and Oyate Omniciye are reestablished.

1924 Disregarding the Constitution and 1851 TREATY, more efforts are made against Indigenous peoples to deny them their human rights of nationhood through an illegal "Indian citizenship act of congress".

Article 1, Section 2, Part 3, ("1,2,3") U.S. Constitution, "Indians not taxed."

1934 Congress' "Indian reorganization act" (the "Indian retardation act") attempts to apply dictatorial, male dominating governing systems onto Indigenous nations, which would "lower" them to "tribes". Some nations reject this act of genocide and maintain their ancient, female inclusive Oyate Omniciye.

OPPRESSION: TO WEIGH HEAVILY ON THE MIND, SPIRIT OR SENSES; TO KEEP DOWN BY CRUEL AND UNJUST USE OF POWER.

The results of oppression upon Indigenous nations by the u.s. government is substance abuse, unemployment, forced government dependency, high infant mortality, live span of 43 years and high drop out rates. Indigenous peoples do receive inadequate Treaty Obligatory Responsibility "payoffs" in the form of health, educations and welfare in lieu of TREATY/Constitution compliance.

1946 Through "Indian claims commission act" u.s. congress coerces many 1934 act tribal councils" into filing "claims for money" for Treaty lands, the basis of illegal "Black Hill Sioux claim settlement".

1988 "Gaming act" passed by congress as "final phase" of unwritten u.s. government "Termination-Through-Taxation" policy.

1993 "Indian agriculture resources management act" transfers leasing authority from individual Indian "land owners" to "1934 act tribal councils" for future, easier land theft actions by u.s. government officials.

1997 Six Nations Iroquois Confederacy - one of the few female inclusive governing systems left on Great Turtle Island ("western hemisphere") comes under direct military blockade of fuel/trade goods from "New York state", in attempt at forced "taxation".
